Following a detailed survey, the Council are undertaking extensive tree works in Leopardstown Heights and The Gallops. Although some issues have arisen, discussions have taken place with local residents and the works to be carried out between now and March will see some trees removed, a number of trees crowned and pruning throughout.

The Council have undertaken to carry out temporary repairs in the next few weeks on the ramps in Belarmine, with the view to permanent remedial works in 2013, subject to funding being available.

Work has begun on the installation of the extended playground at The Gallops which should be completed in time for the summer months.

Part VIII planning approval has been granted for the modified construction of Phase 1 of the Samuel Beckett Centre, it is hoped that construction will begin midway through 2013.

On Sunday 16th September the Dublin Mountains Partnership Family Forest Day will take place in Tibradden Forest between 12 & 4pm . This free event includes activities such as archery, log cutting, mountain biking, blindfold stringtrail, slacklining, camp building and conkers.
