Richmond welcomes funding for Glencullen

Local Fine Gael Councillor Neale Richmond has welcomed the annoucnement that €494,938 in funding has been approved under the Rural Development Programme for development of a community facility in Glencullen.

“Phil Hogan TD, Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government announced that he has given sanction for Fingal Leader Partnership Co. to approve funding of €494,938, to Stars of Erin for the development of a multi-function community facility in Glencullen under the Basic services for the economy and rural population measure of the Rural Development Programme 2007-2013.

“This project will be of immense benefit to Glencullen with it’s total project costs of €668,836, it will improve the quality of life and will strengthen the social and economic fabric for all the areas inhabitants.

“The Rural Development Programme for Ireland 2007-2013 has a budget of €4.9 billion over a 7-year period of which €2.5 billion will be funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and €2.4 billion by the national Exchequer.

“I am delighted to welcome this funding for Glencullen and look forward to the works progressing.”

Litter Bin Review

Dear Resident,

 

The Council has given me the following information regarding a litter bin review in the Glencullen-Sandyford Ward.

 

“It is intended to relocate a number of litter bins from within your local area. These bins will be re-positioned within the Glencullen/Sandyford Electoral Area and there will be no reduction in the number of litter bins provided.
