“This award is made to Leisure Centres that attained and maintained the highest standards of excellence, both in operations and management of programme delivery and is awarded by the Institute of Leisure & Amenity Management (ILAM).

“In addition the Council’s centres at Monkstown and Meadowbrook were awarded the Gold Standard for Disability provision.while dlr Leisure Services also attained “Runner Up” for staff development and training.

“These awards are testament to the hard work of many in dlr Leisure Services and reflect the importance of providing good quality recreational facilities, I am delighted to congratulate the many people involved in each centre for their hard work. By maintaining such high standards dlr Leisure Services have been able to generate much needed additional revenue which will be reinvested in the upgrading of these facilities. I look forward to the commencement of work at the Samuel Beckett Civic Centre in Ballyogan as soon as possible which will be a further addition to the Council’s portfolio of recreational facilities.”
