Volunteering Abroad

ghana

Irish Aid is hosting a Volunteering Fair on Saturday 18th September from 11am-4pm in the Irish Aid Volunteering and Information Centre, O’Connell St. Dublin 1. Over 24 organisations will be participating with information stands and there will be presentations every half hour in the workshop room.

Volunteering abroad can make for an excellent career break or provide someone with an opportunity to really discover what they want to do in life. I have volunteered abroad on a number of occassions, most notably in Ghana in 2007, and found it to be an extremely rewarding period of time.
