Richmond welcomes progress on Sandyford bid for Smarter Travel Area award.

Glencullen 002Local Fine Gael Councillor Neale Richmond has welcomed the news that the Sandyford Business Park Area has been shortlisted as one of the 11 successful bids to proceed to the final stage of the ‘Exemplar Sustainable Travel Demonstration Community’ award as part of a National Competition run by the Department of Transport. FG sets out three point plan for icebound Ireland – Richmond

Fine Gael has set out a three point plan to tackle the Arctic weather crisis which has gripped the country. Local Fine Gael Councillor Neale Richmond has called on the Ministers for Transport and the Environment to immediately take control by implementing a national emergency response, and immediately deploying the Defence Forces. And with salt and grit supplies almost extinguished, other sources such as beach and quarry material should be explored immediately.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council currently have 11 crews out on the roads since 7.00a.m this morning and are continuing to liase with Dublin Bus and An Garda Siochana in order to tackle problem areas across the County.
